Master of Time is currently the only Doctor Who table you can access. That’s sad, because Master of Time is the second-worst table in Pinball Arcade. The fact that there was even a table that could contend with Champion Pub is sad, for that matter.
- It’s too big and too lethal from too many angles, at too many ball speeds.
- Yes, this can be an issue on real BK2Ks, but at least there you’re in front of a real table with real balls that have depth and mass.
- It’s a shame that this happened, though I suspect it means WMS plans to compete in the same virtual pinball space and are thus pulling out from Pinball Arcade.
- Always replace every rubber ring at the same time.
On our way out, Lonnie gives us a swipe card to try out Wizard of Oz. It’s easy to see how someone could burn more than a few bucks at what is most certainly a game of chance. The pinball manufacturers proved highly adaptable and innovative, however. The invention of the flipper by Gottlieb in 1947 helped to launch pinball more firmly into the “game of skill” category, and manufacturers began to aggressively pursue a family-friendly image. Of course, that didn’t matter to much of the country where pinball was illegal, forcing machines into even seedier locations like porn shops and dive bars.

It was just one short month ago that Logan Bowden was on the local news in Portland, Oregon celebrating the resurgence of pinball. QuarterWorld, which Bowden manages, has its own arcade, and even rents machines to bars and pizza shops around town. It’s one of the reasons that Portland has more pinball machines per capita than any other place in country Pinball Arcade for Android.
So keep this in mind when viewing auction price results. A fully restored Seeburg V Jukebox… Super Nice… Grade A restoration. Everything re-chromed, amplifiers rebuilt, new needle/cartridge, etc. One of the most sought after Jukeboxes.

This dramatically changed their games for the better, as the 1967 to 1970 titles before this seemed pretty unimaginative. Games titles listed below in bold use drop targets. This was the last game designed for export to Italy. ‘Hi’ Dolly, 4/65, 2 player, 1600 produced, roto-target, Hi Dolly,BG,PF.
The Pinball Arcade doesn’t intend to offer you anything new. In fact, totally the opposite, it wants to faithfully recreate the most famous pinball tables in history. Even the slightest design detail, sound and behaviour of the tables have been copied from the original models.
